About Blu KitchenThe idea for blu kitchen came from a vision of a restaurant that would provide something different, I wanted a fine dining establishment that incorporates all that I've learned in the past 20 years of cooking professionally.
The cuisine at Blu embraces various culinary techniques and ingredients including all natural meats, organic vegetables, as well as sustainable and fresh fish. The presentation is clean, simple and natural. Contemporary with Japanese, spanish and latin influences.
The beautiful and elegant architecture of the building mirrors the concepts in the food. Purchased in June of 2005, we renovated an old a-frame house into a gorgeous restaurant with award winning space design and remarkable ambiance. We hired friends at Tobler-Dunker Architects to design a space that was, like the cuisine itself, clean, simplistic and visually stunning. Our east-meets-west theme led to the all-natural bamboo bar and tables, the luminescent eco-panel wave of light, and natural color scheme. An open kitchen design allows for a greater connection with the customers and offers a more personalized experience. Enjoy our large outdoor deck during the long summer nights while you sip from one of the largest sake menus in the west, browse the 19 different types of tequila, taste beautiful wines, and enjoy a full bar.
